"WE GET PAID FOR BRINGING VALUE TO THE MARKETPLACE" JIM ROHN
Phil Capell from GoSchmooze, a networking facilitation system which randomly puts four individuals together for a business lunch or breakfast, suggests to, “Always be networking. Every person you meet has the potential to introduce you to others in his or her network. Try to meet people every day. Remember that networking is not prospecting. Don’t treat all people as prospects. Develop relationships with people first and build upon this to see if business or referrals can be shared.”
After you have met someone, started a conversation and exchanged information, the real challenge begins – follow-up. It is crucial to following up with each person you want to continue a relationship. Making contact after the initial meeting is absolutely necessary if you want to build a relationship even if to simply touch base or have coffee,. A personalized system for following up must be created and used. If you do not follow-up, networking is a waste of time for you or the company you work for. Failing to follow-up is a critical mistake that the majority of “networkers” make – don’t be one of them.
Networking is about meeting people and managing relationships. Create a system to build awareness for yourself and your brand, network in the real world and online to strengthen relationships, and commit to following up. Each of these steps offers their own challenges. Even if you have been networking for years, take a look at what you are doing, create a plan or update your networking plan and make sure you have a clear follow up strategy.

As important as the technological advances of the Internet are, such as video e-mails, autoresponders, Skype, and "traffic blaster" software, noting can take the place of the human touch in personally following up with our leads and contacts. Personally following up face to face or on the phone if possible but at least with e-mail communications is essential for networking success. We can have no real IM home business without passionately and strategically following up our leads and contacts.

Relationships Before Sales
"WE GET PAID FOR BRINGING VALUE TO THE MARKETPLACE" JIM ROHN
Although networking has evolved significantly with the advent of the internet, e-mail and social media, there is no substitute for meeting in-person and interacting face-to-face to build relationships. Online networking should be used to reinforce relationships made in-person. When networking in person the goal is to find common ground, which often has nothing to do with business. Rob Fishman, Partner at Hauppauge based Sandler Training said, “When networking, you must resist the temptation to sell. Networking is about creating a relationship for mutual gain. The focus should be on meeting a person and creating a relationship.” He suggested following the F-O-R-D acronym to avoid talking about business when networking. “F is for Family; ask the person where they are from originally or if they have a family. O is for Organization; ask the person about their company and who is a good prospective client for them. R is for Recreation; ask what they do for fun, people like to talk about topics that are enjoyable. D is for Dreams and Aspirations; ask what the person’s goals are and what they want to achieve. The big picture is about creating a network of people in which there is a shared mutual level of trust,” added Mr. Fishman.
Bruce Libman, Author of It’s Just Breakfast and Total Networking, endorses the “give to get philosophy” when networking and building business relationships. “Giving is key to relationship-building and you have to give much more than you should expect to receive. Giving information, ideas or making introductions demonstrates that you care and that you have listened to the other person’s needs or interests. This carries a lot of weight when building relationships,” said Libman.

Selling and networking are two different animals. A sale is the ultimate goal in marketing but selling in itself won't get us there. People ultimately buy from people whom they know, trust and feel have their best interest at heart by the person doing the selling. Networking leads more to sales than just raw naked selling. Questions about a prospect's family, business, recreational activities and dreams will create customers, sales and referrals a lot faster than e-mails, webinars and slick sales pitches.
The essence of networking is listening and sharing with others. Leave selling down the road of a growing relationship.

Our Network Marketing Zone
"WE GET PAID FOR BRINGING VALUE TO THE MARKETPLACE" JIM ROHN
A lot is being said about "attraction marketing" today in the Internet Marketing world. A basic definiton of "attraction marketing" might be this, "attraction marketing is doing certain things so that people come to YOU versus you seeking them out." I define "attraction marketing" as "Zen marketing". Zen is an Eastern way of relating to Reality where things are accomplished without concentrated effort described in Zen as "wei wu wei". In most network marketing methods such as e-mail marketing or various advertsing systems we are going after or targeting prospects with concentrated effort and those methods can be quite effective. However in "attraction marketing" we are not seeking prospects as a priority but rather we are seeking to share ourselves as a knowledgable and caring business person through simply being fully engaged in networking with others.
When an athelete or artist is at the "top of their game" and involved in a "commanding performance" they are not really thinking about what they are doing, they are just fully engaged with doing what they are doing. It's like the sport, dance or painting takes over and they are "in a zone". Attraction marketing success occurs when an online marketer gets in a "zone" where your online and offline neworking just takes over and brings referrals and customers into your programs and income opportunities, without any concentrated effort on your part.
When we get into our networking "zone" the people we are looking for and are meant to be our business partners and customers will come to us. That's what "attraction marketing" is all about.

Just A Few Good Men
"We get paid for bringing value to the marketplace" (Jim Rohn)
There are three things you need to become an irresistible sponsor in network marketing.
This is the absolute foundation of your entire success and if you don’t understand this and apply this to your business then it doesn’t matter what else you do because you will fail…. and fail hard.
The three most important factors that will determine your success in network marketing and make you become an irresistible sponsor are Vision, Passion, and Belief.
Obviously there are plenty more factors that will help you sponsor more reps and I will cover those in future posts, but it’s extremely important to your business that you fully understand what it means to have Vision, Passion, and Belief…. because possessing these factors become magnetic and generates enthusiasm.
The more enthusiastic you are the more you will attract your perfect prospect.
(Please read the full article)
The ability to sponsor people is critical for success in network marketing. Ironically it is not salesmanship that motivates persons to join you in your MLM income opportunity. Salesmanship is needed to move products or services but moving people is a different story. People are drawn to other people with strong vision, passion and belief. It doesn't matter what the MLM income opportunity is if you can be passionate about it then a few other people can have that same level of passion and in MLM it only takes a "few good men" of vision, passion and belief.

Women And Network Marketing
"We get paid for bringing value to the marketplace" (Jim Rohn)
Sorry guys, Not to say that you haven’t been extremely successful, but I have to give us women a shout here!
Ladies, this should give you an extra measure of confidence, knowing that you have been naturally equipped with talents that will give you an edge in this industry!
You see, I think there has never been an industry so well suited for the natural talents of women!
Why do I say this? Well, some of you might already be shaking your heads, yes of course!
But if you don’t know why I might be saying this, just think…
1) We women LOVE building relationships
2) We often have the gift of GAB!
3) The gift of Gab also lends itself to writing, a key skill in marketing.
4) Through either evolution or our socioeconomic times we’ve grown to be incredibly adept at multi-tasking.
5) We LOVE to solve problems and help people
(Please read the full article)
Though I am a man, I openly affirm that women make great network marketers because of the innate gifts of womanhood. Women are more relationship conscious than men. Women are better at communicating than men. Women are better at multi-tasking than men. All these qualities are needed to succeed in network marketing. Men can emulate these networking gifts that women have naturally with conscious effort but the best thing to do is sponsor lot's of women in your downline and support them all you can because as the late R&B singer James Brown said, "this is a man's world but it wouldn't be nothing, not one little thing without a women or a girl". Women network marketers Rock!

How Can I Help You.
| Malcolm Gladwell's The Tipping Point, one of my favorite books, defined "connectors" as "the people in a community who know large numbers of people and who are in the habit of making introductions." Scott is such a connector. In fact, he's the best networker I've ever met, so I asked Scott for his tips about how to network. The secrets are out, below: 1. Always be thinking about the other person, not personal gain 2. Build a network around an idea that people believe in. 3. Maximize access. 4. Don't go for meaningless "numbers". 5. Systematize it. 6. Always be connecting. 7. Dedicate real and meaningful time. 8. Be a hybrid, 9. Above all else, be there to help people. The essence of network marketing is connecting with people. We connect with people through needs, desires and values we commonly share. However those shared needs, desires and values may include money but must transcend just money. The best way to connect with others is by being helpful. Being helpful can be providing information, encouragement or inspiration. Being helpful can also include doing something for others with no expectation of favors returned. In the novel and movie "The Godfather", the family patriarch built his fortune on doing favors for others and helping people when they had a need besides the regular Mafia criminal activities. LOL! The Godfather was a superb networker or connector despite being a crime boss. The five heartfelt words that will always open the doors of success in network marketing is "how-can-I-help-you?" |

Love Is Duplicable.
Many people work at network marketing for a while and then quit just before they go into the collecting stage of their network marketing careers.
But if you just take the time to follow these steps and keep going through the building phase until the royalty payouts and duplicating momentum takes hold, you will definitely succeed!
?Determine your ‘Why’ and put it in writing so that you remember it when things slow down. The dreams you have are what will drive you to reach your goals of success.
?Find the right mentor and get educated on the necessary skills. Any profession requires this much! Learn the tools of the trade, the ones you’ll need for any networking, marketing, advertising, and time management.
?Use an attraction marketing system
?Begin building your network of friends, online social networks provide a great way to extend your reach and make new contacts. Establish profiles using your name as a user ID and the same picture across all profiles.
?Don’t quit! When things slow down, just stay on the slight edge, do at least a little every day. Continue improving your self and your skills.
mlmdreamsaver.com/2009/09/how-to-make-network-markeing-work-for-you/
It I so easy to quit before success comes in network marketing. Despite the claims of many programs you are not going to make $10,000 in a month. The duplication process with imperfect humans won't allow it. Getting people to see the program as you see it with all your passion is a great challenge but it can be accomplished. The system may be very duplicable but it must have faith in and commitment to the system for success. Love is duplicable, even in network marketing. Og Mandino expressed it best in the 10 Scrolls of The Greatest Salesman.
"I will greet this day with love in my heart.
But how will I react to the actions of others? With love. For just as love is my
weapon to open the hearts of men, love is also my shield to repulse the arrows of hate
and the spears of anger. Adversity and discouragement will beat against my new
shield and become as the softest of rains. My shield will protect me in the market
place and sustain me when I am alone. It will uplift me in moments of despair yet it
will calm me in time of exultation. It will become stronger and more protective with
use until one day I will cast aside and walk unencumbered among all manners of men
and, when I do, my name will be raised high on the pyramid of life."

The MLM Servant Leader
"We get paid for bringing value to the marketplace" (Jim Rohn)
There are a few basic but critical things that you will need in order to grow your network marketing business successfully. The problem is, many people who have been in the industry have no idea about some of these concepts.
That is because they have come from the idea that people need no real skills to do this, just make a list of everyone you know, and lead with your product and opportunity, they will sell themselves!
Well, the problem here for one thing is with the term ‘sell’. People hate to be sold. What you really want to do is qualify your leads, so that you are speaking with a more targeted audience of entrepreneurs who are interested in working a business to create their fortune.
To truly break from the pack and achieve your ultimate goal, passive residual income, you need to do:
1. Acquiring leads
2. Following up
3. Relationship building
4. Sponsoring
5. Training
(Please read the full article)
The critical step in building an MLM home business is effective sponsoring. Having acquired leads and followed up on those leads we must become good sponsors, making ourselves available for help and encouragement. to those we have sponsored. To be the best sponsors we can be we must be trained ourselves before we can train others. If we don't know the answers we need to know who does, preferably someone in our own upline. Relationships with our upline is just as important as relationships with our downline. Being a good sponsor is being a "servant leader" in our network marketing home business.

Be All That You Can Be
"We tried blogging," my friend Pete said to me recently. "It didn't work."
Pete, who owns a seafood shop not far from the small town where I live, was referring to the WordPress blog he and his partners had started to provide information about specials and promotions. But, according to Pete, nobody visits the blog or comments on their posts. It drives no measurable awareness, traffic or sales.
Can you relate? Do you get zero online traffic? Or maybe you have different marketing challenges: Perhaps you have traffic but aren't converting those leads into paying customers. And when it comes to social media, maybe you feel like there's no point, because it seems as if you're broadcasting into a black hole.
Take a deep breath: You're not alone. Here are three common mistakes marketers make--and how to fix them.
Mistake No. 1: Expecting a blog to effortlessly generate traffic and awareness.
Mistake No. 2: Thinking social media is a black hole.
Mistake No. 3: You've got plenty of traffic, but no customers.
(Please read the full article)

Social media marketing and blogging can seem very daunting. The key for success in social media marketing is being realistic, aware and committed to connecting with referrals and customers. Getting a ton of traffic means nothing if there are no referrals or customers. Remember in affiliate marketing we are only looking for "a few good men". If we set the example of being resourceful, imaginative and caring network marketers we will attract the same to us. Just take a deep breath and be "all that we can be" and the referrals and customers will follow.

Don't Chase Your Leads
Don't be like the pet duck endlessly chasing the pet dog. Humorous when it comes to pets but not so funny when it comes to network marketing. DON'T CHASE YOUR LEADS! Build a trusted online brand and the leads will come to you.

Passion Attracts
We all want to be attractive. To get to the next level in our
lives, we are trying to "attract" people: investors, employees, voters,
customers, suppliers, friends, a mate, Facebook friends, Twitter
followers, etc. Of course, we need to turn up the attraction far beyond
physical beauty and style to reach our goals in today's
hyper-competitive world.
Here are six key things the most talented entrepreneurs do. They also
can be applied to whatever it is you are trying to attract in your own
life:
1) Lead with Passion:
2) Don't Fake It:
3) Be Interested Instead of Interesting:
4) Don't Waiver:
5) Be Remarkable:
6) Make a Difference:
(Please click the keyword "attraction" to read the full article)
For "attraction marketing" to work for us we need first to be genuinely attractive to other marketers and customers. One characteristic of our online brand that will always attract others to our online brand is P-A-S-S-I-O-N. Having a genuine passion for what we do and share online is more attractive to others than our website graphics, writing skills or profile picture. If we are passionate enough about selling a bag of air, someone will buy it! We just need to make sure that what we are passionately sharing online is of real value. The "Law Of Attraction" will take over from there and "attraction marketing" will kick in bringing sales, referrals and business partners because passion attracts.

Network Marketing Dog?
It is time that you realized the “Rule of the Dog” in Network Marketing:
You are NOT a dog. Quit chasing after people like a dog – and start developing new relationships with people who are chasing you.
You are NOT a dog. Quit chasing after people like a dog- and start developing new relationships with people who are chasing you.
Most people in this business chase people for phone calls, for appointments, and even dates
they can get together and talk.
That is one of the most powerful realizations in home business. Chasing people that you
want to recruit into this industry is:
1) Demeaning.
2) Desperate.
2) Desperate.
Leaders do NOT chase. They simply reconnect and see if they are supposed to pursue it any further.
Chasing is letting the prospect set the time agenda and control the situation.
(Please click on the keywords "Network Marketing" to read the full article)
Following through on your leads is essential for securing customers and referrals in network marketing. However chasing after leads is counterproductive in network marketing. After one or two personal e-mails or phone calls above and beyond any autoresponder system you are using, stop the follow through process and move on to another lead. Prospect chasing "dogs" in network marketing get no respect, sales or referrals. "When the student or prospect is ready, the teacher or sponsor will appear".

The Network Marketing Bus
You are the driver of your bus. You have the ability to
choose the ride you want. As Gordon says, “You choose your energy and
it will determine the ride, your attitude, how people respond."
Fuel your ride with positive energy. Gordon believes
that “whether we feed ourselves each day with negative fuel or positive
fuel, our attitude, our mindset, our belief, our optimism has a big
impact on our day.” With positive energy fuel, you will be able to
accomplish things that others thought impossible
Lead with optimism. Gordon studied great teams, leaders
and organizations. He shows that optimism is one of the defining
factors of their success. “Optimistic salespeople outperform pessimistic
salespeople," Gordon says. "Optimistic leaders are able to get their
people in the right direction and … create success. I work for a lot of
NFL teams, for instance, and I’ve seen this principle play out.”
Find your "why." Gordon advises people to stop seeking
happiness at work. He says to “instead, decide to work with passion and
then purpose and happiness will find you. Find a purpose and allow it to
energize you.” Gordon cites a mortgage broker he met that felt her
purpose was “saving marriages because she feels like if she can help
people with homes they’ll keep their marriage intact and the research
shows that to be true.” The "why" helps overcome most challenges.

Network marketing can be a lonely and at times depressing work. Success doesn't come easily and overnight for most network marketers. Success requires positive thinking, optimism and passion. The lynchpin that holds positive thinking, optimism and passion together is finding your "why" for having a home business doing network marketing. Of course the desire to make money for yourself and have personal financial independence are two legitimate reasons for being an network marketer but your "why" should be a more spiritual reason. My "why" for desiring success in network marketing is to be a blessing to others, financially and spiritually. The essence of network marketing is people working together to create wealth for many. In network marketing we are all in this together. That's the "network marketing bus" we are all riding with positive thinking, optimism and passion. All Aboard!
