Our Network Marketing Zone

"WE GET PAID FOR BRINGING VALUE TO THE MARKETPLACE" JIM ROHN

A lot is being said about "attraction marketing" today in the Internet Marketing world. A basic definiton of "attraction marketing" might be this, "attraction marketing is doing certain things so that people come to YOU versus you seeking them out." I define "attraction marketing" as  "Zen marketing". Zen is an Eastern way of relating to Reality where things are accomplished without concentrated effort described in Zen as "wei wu wei". In most network marketing methods such as e-mail marketing or various advertsing systems we are going after or targeting prospects with concentrated effort and those methods can be quite effective. However in "attraction marketing" we are not seeking prospects as a priority but rather we are seeking to share ourselves as a knowledgable and caring business person through simply being fully engaged in networking with others.

When an athelete or artist is at the "top of their game" and involved in a "commanding performance" they are not really thinking about what they are doing, they are just fully engaged with doing what they are doing. It's like the sport, dance or painting takes over and they are "in a zone". Attraction marketing success occurs when an online marketer gets in a "zone" where your online and offline neworking just takes over and brings referrals and customers into your programs and income opportunities, without any concentrated effort on your part.

When we get into our networking "zone" the people we are looking for and are meant to be our business partners and customers will come to us. That's what "attraction marketing" is all about.

Passion Attracts

We all want to be attractive. To get to the next level in our lives, we are trying to "attract" people: investors, employees, voters, customers, suppliers, friends, a mate, Facebook friends, Twitter followers, etc. Of course, we need to turn up the attraction far beyond physical beauty and style to reach our goals in today's hyper-competitive world.

Here are six key things the most talented entrepreneurs do. They also can be applied to whatever it is you are trying to attract in your own life:

1) Lead with Passion:

2) Don't Fake It:

3) Be Interested Instead of Interesting:

4) Don't Waiver:

5) Be Remarkable:

6) Make a Difference:

For "attraction marketing" to work for us we need first to be genuinely attractive to other marketers and customers. One characteristic of our online brand that will always attract others to our online brand is P-A-S-S-I-O-N. Having a genuine passion for what we do and share online is more attractive to others than our website graphics, writing skills or profile picture. If we are passionate enough about selling a bag of air, someone will buy it! We just need to make sure that what we are passionately sharing online is of real value. The "Law Of Attraction" will take over from there and "attraction marketing" will kick in bringing sales, referrals and business partners because passion attracts.

The Intention To Share

Yes, we are all of us in business with transactions in mind. Yes, more transactions are almost always better than fewer transactions. Yes, we hope our social media efforts -- like everything else we do -- will be followed by more people purchasing our goods and services. Indeed, if you succeed in forging relationships with your various constituencies, and you are open and honest and share (i.e., in both directions) compelling and relevant stuff, loyalty and trust will grow and from that will flow more business at lowers acquisition costs.

But if you are cultivating community and conversation for the purpose of corralling cattle into the slaughterhouse, you are not engaging in a social strategy. You are engaging in a sales strategy, which is pretty close to the antithesis of social marketing. We are in the Relationship Era. This is no time for manipulation.

People are more than statistics. Sales strategies are fine but trying to manipulate people has limited success because sooner or later people figure out they are being manipulated and they will resent being manipulated. Don't insult people's intelligence or play on their emotions in social media marketing or in any other endeavor for that matter. Success in social media marketing is sharing something of value and looking at what others are sharing of value. Social media marketing is not a sales strategy but an intention to share. Sales and referrals will just flow naturally from the power of that intention to share something of value with another.

Attraction Marketing Is Work

Attraction marketing is all the rave these days.

It’s hard to find an article or blog post these days about network marketing that doesn’t even mention attraction marketing.  The two almost go hand in hand, it would seem.

The problem I see with most people who say they’re into attraction marketing is that they’re short on action.  Marketing this way means you have to put out a LOT of content, and you have to put it out there every day.

Attraction Marketing Step 1: Articles or Videos?

Attraction Marketing Step 2: Create Massive Content

Attraction Marketing Step 3:  Have a Presentation and Follow-Up System

(Please click on the keywords "attraction marketing" to read the full article)

We all love the concept of "attraction marketing" and have dreams of hundreds of leads, customers and referrals coming to us daily. The problem with "attraction marketing" is the little fact that it takes a lot of hard work to build an online "brand" without which no "attraction marketing" can occur. Building our online brand is based on the quality and amount of content we put out on the Web, whether that content is articles, videos or both. If we don't like writing articles or posting videos on a daily basis then just forget "attraction marketing" and utilize the more traditional forms of marketing such as traffic exchanges, e-mail safe lists and search engine submissions.

I know personally I am attracted to websites and blogs that the authors have obviously put in  lot of hard work and creativity manifested as quality content that instructs and inspires me. I usually end up on their e-mail lists. "Attraction marketing"works if we do the work.

Building Your Brand

Social Networking or Social Media Marketing?

Social media marketing is not social media networking. Most people are familiar with online social networking, but that is only the beginning when it comes to marketing online.
Social media marketing is how you allow potential prospects to find you. Once that happens, you will use social media networking to build relationships with those prospects who may ultimately become customers or join you in your business.

Social networking is fun, but serious Social Media Marketing can be a bit intimidating to some when starting out, particularly because it’s such a broad term, and can be done in so many ways.

 Where Do You Start?

 Identify Your Target Market

 Create Your Content

Link Your Content to Your Networking Profiles

 Your Goal is Trust

“Be yourself, everyone else is taken.” Oscar Wilde

There is a strong correlation between "attraction marketing" and social media marketing. Marketing using advertising systems such as traffic exchanges or safe list mailers is you the marketer going after customers and referrals but social media marketing is you the marketer, in the process of sharing who you are and what you know, attracting customers and referrals to what you sale and promote. Blogs and social site profiles are your social media marketing "business cards", as it were. Your Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn or other social media should be connected to your blogs and profiles some way or the other.
Social media marketing is fun but it does take time, effort and forethought before the "attraction marketing" magic will manifest. If you "build your brand" then customers and referrals will come.

How Important Is A Personal Branding Blog To You?

Attraction marketing  is dominating the online network marketing world. If you are not part of it , you are losing big! Why? Because all who has discovered this magnificent way of doing business by attracting others to them have the opportunity to show themselves as leaders. They are now capable to share with others what they have learned using a real duplicating system. You get noticed  quickly because you’re are no longer leading with a specific product or business opportunity. Now it's all about selling yourself first as a desirable leader. Yes, its all about You. Having a personal branding blog at doing attraction marketing is a perfect way to showcase yourself to the world.

I love the concept of  "attraction marketing" because I hate "direct marketing" or sales.  It's kind of like the concept highlighted in the movie "Field of Dreams", "if we build it they will come". In "attraction marketing" what we are building is our online "brand" or reputation. Someone who is always sharing, offering or giving me something of value will ultimately arouse my curiosity to see what business opportunity or program  he or she is promoting and because now I trust that person I will seriously look at what they are marketing. Something called "human nature", I think. Not in anyway negating other forms or methods of marketing, "attraction marketing" works!
