What Every Good Marketer Knows:
People don’t buy what they need. They buy what they want.
People all over the world, and of every income level, respond to marketing that promises and delivers basic human wants.
Advertising is just a symptom, a tactic. Marketing is about far more than that.
Low price is a great way to sell a commodity. That’s not marketing, though, that’s efficiency.
If you are marketing from a fairly static annual budget, you’re
viewing marketing as an expense. Good marketers realize that it is an
investment.
Business to business marketing is just marketing to consumers who happen to have a corporation to pay for what they buy.
Traditional ways of interrupting consumers (TV ads, trade show
booths, junk mail) are losing their cost-effectiveness. At the same
time, new ways of spreading ideas (blogs, permission-based RSS
information, consumer fan clubs) are quickly proving how well they work.
Blogging makes you a better marketer because it teaches you humility in your writing.
Good marketers measure.
Good marketers tell a story.

Advertising is a tactical element of marketing such as PPC ads, e-mails and traffic exchanges. Marketing involves connecting the product or service you are selling with the human mind, heart and spirit. Using social media such as blogs, videos and social networks is where true marketing is done, not advertising. Use social media not to advertise but rather use social media to tactfully and tastefully market your products, services and yourself because advertising is not marketing.

Words are powerful. A single word in one mind can create an overwhelming emotion or desire to do something, good or bad. Certain words in marketing campaigns can make all the difference between having sales and referrals or not having sales and referrals. In my own mind any marketing campaign that emphasizes "free", "guarantee" or "proven" will particularly capture my attention, name and e-mail. In crafting future ads and promos for my Biz-Ops and programs I will definitely be using combinations of these "14 most powerful and effective words in marketing".
I came back to State Of The Art Mailer today. I quit it once before because I was just burned out with safe list mailers ( I had to damn many). I decided I was going to use just a couple of good safe list mailers and this is one I chose to be committed to. SOTAM is a very progressive safe list mailer that literally pays you a profit share to read SOTAM e-mails. Banner advertising is in a unique "time bonus" format. The upgrades are very reasonable with a lot of credit bonus perks. Though this is a large membership, the e-mails sent are reasonable, about forty a day. If you are in the market for a great safe list mailer then by all means check SOTAM out.
In my estimation there are at least a dozen great business social networks on the Web today. One in that number is the APSense business social network. What makes APSense unique among the business social networks is the quality content products available to free members. First the APSense profile gives you a good brand. There are "Rev Pages" to give reviews for any product, service or Biz-Op you desire. There are articles with great rich content and HTML. There is the APSense Business Center, your own customizable website to promote anything you want. Plus there are a dozen other APSense Add On products like ezines, an advertising social game, Traffic Exchange, a "Team Promote" that pays you to promote among other "add ons". You can also sell your "talents" to other members. There are paid sponsored ads at $10 for one week, a great value, as well as Solo Ads to the entire membership of about 80,000. Many like the many groups available on APSense. APSense is well worth the time and money spent on promoting your Biz-Ops and branding yourself. Give it a try soon!
