There are a few basic but critical things that you will need in order to grow your network marketing business successfully. The problem is, many people who have been in the industry have no idea about some of these concepts.

That is because they have come from the idea that people need no real skills to do this, just make a list of everyone you know, and lead with your product and opportunity, they will sell themselves!

Well, the problem here for one thing is with the term ‘sell’. People hate to be sold. What you really want to do is qualify your leads, so that you are speaking with a more targeted audience of entrepreneurs who are interested in working a business to create their fortune.

To truly break from the pack and achieve your ultimate goal, passive residual income, you need to do:

1. Aquiring leads

2. Following up

3. Relationship building

4. Sponsoring and

5. Training

While the masses have seemed to put all of their faith into systems to do numbers 1 and 2, there is no reason that people cannot use offline and online methods combined to acquire leads and follow up. As a matter of fact, even the most seasoned email marketer will tell you that it’s not so much about the size of the list anymore but of your relationship with your list.

Having leads, traffic and a list are important elements in building an MLM home business but it is what we do with those leads,, traffic and list that makes all the difference. Having a successful MLM home business requires real leadership. It helps if the affiliate program we are promoting has a system of training and support in place but nothing takes the place of the "human touch". Personal communication either face to face, Skype, phone or e-mail is essential in building our MLM home business. The "e-mail blasters" may get us a million visitors to our sites but it will take some one on one "face time" to build a down line of active and committed business partners.  We must get our list then work our list with a good autoresponder and with your human heart touching another human heart possessing the mutual desire of being  successful MLM home business entrepreneurs.
