I like many others have found Twitter to be a great social media marketing tool. A lot can be said in 140 characters and despite the volume and speed of Twitter posting or "Tweets" your posts do get read and if you have links, those links do get traffic. A key point for me in using Twitter in marketing is to follow mostly people who are also marketers or people you feel might be interested in the product or service you promote. Just because someone follows you doesn't mean you have to follow them because even on Twitter the quality of your followers is more important than the quantity of your followers. If you haven't done so already, and surprisedly there are many online marketers that don't have a Twitter account, you need to get your "Tweets" on.
