Go Forth And Talk

So as you go forth and talk to people (which you should be doing each and every day), keep these two simple but powerful prospecting tips in the forefront of your mind, for they are the most basic communication skills you can master.

These should quickly become natural to you if they are not already, and have you sponsoring more people into your business.

Two of the Most Powerful Prospecting Tips:

1) Ask and LISTEN!

 Use the F.O.R.M questions (Family, Occupation, Recreation and Money) to guide you, but most importantly, PAUSE and allow them to speak. LISTEN carefully!

 

2) Match and Mirror.

While you are listening, match their speed of talking, if they are slow and thoughtful, respond in a slow and thoughtful manner. If they are speaking quickly and with high energy, match their pace!

  Whether we like it or not most of the time closing a sale or recruiting a new business partner boils down to offline contact, either face to face or on the phone (or both if using Skype). The above article gives two great prospecting tips for using face to face or on the phone, namely to really listen to the prospect and match their present emotional level. Another tip given is to SMILE! We should smile even when we talk on the phone because, believe it or not, a smile (or a frown) comes through over the phone. After we have got a prospect's attention through an ad or an e-mail we many times still need to TALK to them.
