Social media marketing should not be a "contact sport". We should not be trying to ram what we promote down the throats of those we encounter on the Internet while at the same time being honest and open about the fact that we do have programs we promote. We shouldn't be berating our competition in whatever niche we are a part of. On the contrary we should be willing to share and promote other marketers programs through our own social media channels. Being consistent in tactfully sharing useful content, whether our own or someone else's, is what the "sport" of social media marketing is all about.

  1. Right on, I often wonder why people feel going around and spamming their links all over the place is ever going to result in any positive feedback or even anyone joining.

In fact doing so make you look like a chump online and people learn quickly to either block you or stay clear of you.

If you just take a few moments to offer some insightful information you will be pleasantly surprised with the feedback you get.
