There is a strong correlation between "attraction marketing" and social media marketing. Marketing using advertising systems such as traffic exchanges or safe list mailers is you the marketer going after customers and referrals but social media marketing is you the marketer, in the process of sharing who you are and what you know, attracting customers and referrals to what you sale and promote. Blogs and social site profiles are your social media marketing "business cards", as it were. Your Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn or other social media should be connected to your blogs and profiles some way or the other.
Social media marketing is fun but it does take time, effort and forethought before the "attraction marketing" magic will manifest. If you "build your brand" then customers and referrals will come.
